General Aftercare Guidelines
First and foremost, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact your artist or piercer. Your health and safety is our priority.
ALWAYS WASH YOUR HANDS BEFORE TOUCHING OR CLEANING YOUR NEW TATTOO OR PIERCING!
Tattoo Aftercare:
Leave your bandage or wrapping on per artist’s discretion.
To clean your new tattoo, apply a small amount of antibacterial or antimicrobial soap (such as H2Ocean Blue Green Foam Soap) with light pressure, massage the soap into the skin. Rinse with lukewarm water. Pat dry with a dry, clean paper towel.
Apply a thin layer of H2Ocean Aquatat ointment.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 three to four times daily.
After 5-7 days, your new tattoo will begin to peel (like a sunburn) DO NOT PICK, SCRATCH, OR PEEL YOUR NEW TATTOO! Avoid rough physical contact, contact with pets or others, tanning beds, direct sunlight, harsh environments, pools, and hot tubs until your new tattoo has healed. Healing time varies for each person depending on size, placement, and health factors, but generally takes 2-3 weeks.
Piercing Aftercare:
Clean your new piercing 2-3 times per day with a cotton swab and H2Ocean Foam Soap. Clean both sides of your piercing.
Avoid touching your new piercing at all other times. It is possible to over clean, so remember that minimal contact is best.
Avoid changing jewelry until completely healed.
Avoid harsh chemicals (alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, etc) physical or oral contact, and contact with others’ bodily fluids.
